Queen Street Heritage Trust Open Day

Freemasonry in the United Kingdom was formed under the United Grand Lodge of England in 1717 this year marks its 300th Anniversary

In commemoration of this historic event Queen Street Heritage Trust supported by Sunderland Council are opening their doors to all for this community based event

The hall will be open at 10am  and close at 4pm, the day is to be run as a family oriented day and it is hoped that many children attend with their parents and friends. 
We have many activities throughout the day, and in addition there will be Punch and Judy shows, Facepainting and Malcolm the Magician will be on hand to amaze one and all.

it is proposed to provide free food to those attending. as well as a free Masonic Teddy Bear to the children. 

Masonic Temple

The Phoenix Hall Masonic Temple is the oldest Masonic Temple under the jurisdiction of the United Grand Lodge of England, having been Built in 1785 by Phoenix Lodge No 97, there will be Freemasons on hand in the Temple room to show you the hall and explain its fascinating history, as well as answering many questions on freemasonry.
